Coach Symposiums

Two Coach Symposiums will be held this fall: Thunder Bay September 24-26, and Sudbury October 22-24.  A Competition Coach course will also be held during each of these events.  These symposiums will be a great opportunity for coaches to update their skills and knowledge, and network with other coaches.

Ontario Sport Award Recipients

At the Ontario Sport Alliance Awards banquet Thursday April 15th, three awards were presented for the sport of curling.
Margarett Best, Minister of Health Promotion, presented these awards.
  • NOCA President Alan Gemmell received the 2009 Syl Apps Special Achievements Award
  • Wendy Morgan (Amethyst Camp Coordinator) received the Female Coach of the Year Award

Each week until the end of April, two trivia questions were  posted  on the NOCA website. The names of everyone who answered correctly was entered  into a weekly draw to win a copy of Fit to Curl, written by John Morris and assisted by Dean Gemmell.
